The Life of a Tech Hobo: My Journey Begins

 

Every journey starts with a single step—or in my case, a single image. Meet the Tech Hobo: a scrappy, resourceful wanderer equipped with a bag of gadgets, a scruffy beard, and an adventurous spirit. When I saw this image come to life, I couldn’t help but see a little of myself in it.

Working in IT has taken me on a unique journey, much like a modern-day hobo traveling from one place to another, not by train cars but by industries. From healthcare to casinos to agricultural non-profits, each stop along the way has taught me something new.

What I’ve learned is that technology is less about machines and more about the people you meet and connect with. Each project, every troubleshooting call, and every problem solved is a chance to learn, grow, and even make new friends. Some of the best solutions I’ve found didn’t come from code or manuals—they came from conversations with people who saw things from a different perspective.
